I am Laketa Dumas, the founder of R U Ready 4 BIZness and The Entrepreneur GPS. I have been in that driver’s seat, lost, frustrated, tired, and uncertain of my own ability to bring my dreams to fruition. I have experienced the heartache and pain that happens when a business fails; a business that you’ve poured your heart, soul and energy into.

Even with a BS and MBA in entrepreneurship, nothing prepared me for starting a business more than my own personal experience. There was no roadmap for me to follow, and no professional to guide me. I had to develop my own map. I began by building relationships with patent lawyers, business attorneys, CPA’s, graphic designers, and countless other professionals.

I took a journey to China, the largest manufacturing country in the world! During my visit there, I learned the business culture and more importantly, I built positive relationships. I traveled to international trade shows and developed business relationships with people all over the world! These resources and relationships have enabled me to create my own entrepreneurship game, God’s Virtuous Woman clothing line, business text books, and apps.

Yes, I had failures and successes. It comes with the territory. My personal entrepreneurial journey eventually inspired my business name, R U Ready 4 BIZness. Some of us say, “Yes, I am ready!” But in reality, we have no idea of the costs involved; costs which amount to more than just money. Starting your own business means making great sacrifices, being relentless, persevering through the rejections, and holding onto the possibility when it seems impossible.

My divine purpose is to give you “a roadmap” to bring your dream to life. I love providing business coaching so people may bring their God-given idea to fruition. It is a deep passion that makes it hard for me to get to sleep at night.
